Prof. Dong S. Ha received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Korea, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Iowa. Since Fall 1986, he has been a faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Tech. Currently, he is Professor and Director of Multifunctional Integrated Circuits and Systems (MICS) group with four faculty members and a member of Center for Energy Harvesting Materials and Systems (CEHMS) of Virginia Tech. He specializes in low-power IC design for analog/mixed-signal and RF ICs targeting for embedded system applications. His research interests include energy harvesting from various sources including RF and power line. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
